The Chinese government has announced a new scholarship program for teachers and students at the Butuka School of Excellence in Papua New Guinea (PNG). The program, which will award 200 scholarships annually, is designed to strengthen educational ties between the two countries and promote cooperation and friendship.

200 Chinese Scholarship 

The scholarship program will provide 100 scholarships for teacher exchange programs and 100 scholarships for student summer camp programs. This breakdown reflects the Chinese government's commitment to supporting all aspects of education in PNG, from professional development for teachers to enriching experiences for students.

The scholarships are open to teachers and students of all disciplines, but priority will be given to those who are studying or teaching in STEM fields, such as science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. 

Applicants must also be citizens of Papua New Guinea and meet the academic and other requirements of the Butuka School of Excellence.
