Tips for success with 2024 JAMB UTME

To ensure a smooth and successful JAMB registration and exam experience, it is important to:

  • Register early: JAMB registration usually closes a few weeks before the exam, so it is important to start the process early to avoid any last-minute rushes.
  • Register at a JAMB-accredited CBT centre: There are many fake CBT centres out there, so it is important to register at a JAMB-accredited centre to avoid any problems. You can find a list of accredited CBT centres on the JAMB website.
  • Provide accurate information during registration: Any errors in your registration information could lead to the cancellation of your results. Be sure to double-check all of your information before submitting your registration form.
  • Keep your JAMB e-PIN safe: Your e-PIN is a valuable document that is required to access your JAMB profile and print your JAMB slip. Do not share your e-PIN with anyone.
  • Reprint your JAMB slip a few days before the exam: Your JAMB slip contains important information about your exam, such as your exam date, time, and centre. It is a good idea to reprint your JAMB slip a few days before the exam to ensure that you have all of the necessary information and to avoid any last-minute surprises.

By following these tips, you can increase your chances of having a successful JAMB registration and exam experience.

Create JAMB Registration Profile

The Board advises the 2024 UTME candidates to immediately create their JAMB profile (creation of profile code) prior to the start of the 2024 JAMB registration.

JAMB advised that it is likely to be a 'bottleneck' effect at the last minute when everyone rushed to create their profile.

Therefore, candidates must create their JAMB profile - the creation of the JAMB profile code - so that they do not have to face any restraints at the start of registration.

How to Get JAMB Profile Using Code

You'll need your phone to send an SMS to generate a unique profile code before creating the JAMB profile. You'll receive a 10-characters profile code which you'll need to create your JAMB profile.

Here is how to get the profile code:

  • 1: Open the SMS pad on your phone.
  • 2: Enter your NIN in this format - NIN (one space) enter your 11-digit NIN number, see the *example.
  • 3: Send to 55019 or 66019

For *example, if your NIN number is 12345678912 must enter NIN 12345678912 and hit send.

How to avoid error messages?

If you do not get the SMS text, please be patient. Wait for the SMS alert, your 10-character profile code will be sent to your phone.

Sending another message can complicate things. Also, when you send another message you'll be charged an additional network fee of #50.

Knowing that the network will be slow when busy and waiting patiently will help you avoid error messages and incurring additional charges.
