Have you ever had a stressful time when your phone is on silent mode and you can't find it? Even worst, someone stole your phone and you felt as if the world is ending?

The good news is that you can find your phone even if it's in silent mode. Better still, you can delete everything on your phone remotely, and lock it dead.  But there are certain things that you should do immediately to find or lock your smartphone.

Here are the three functions and how to connect your phone using your Gmail.

How to use Find-My-Device (FMD)

Google makes it so easy to find your smartphone when you lose it, regardless of the make or brand of your android device.

Firstly, connect your android phone to Google's FMD. Here is how to do it:
1) Visit  https://www.google.com/android/find
2) Enter your Gmail o phone number to connect to FMD
3) Follow the prompt and complete the connection

Once your phone to set up to FMD, you can call up the 3 functions below when you need them.

How to find a lost phone - use 'Play Sound'

Use the 'Play Sound' function on Find-My-Device to find your phone if you misplace it or lost it somewhere near you.

All you need is another smartphone, PC or lab top. You must use the Gmail that you used to connect your phone to FMD.

You'll hear a high-ping sound, even if your phone is on silent mode. The ping will go on for 5 minutes, if you cannot find it you can ping it again.

Once you've found your phone, press the power key to stop the sound.

Can't find it? Secure your phone to protect your data. Try the next function.

Use 'Secure Device' to lock a lost phone, remotely

You must sign in to your Google Account to lock the device, there is no need to download any mobile apps or applications onto your device.

Click on the 'Secure Device' tab, and add a message and optional phone number so that anyone who finds your device can contact you.

Then hit 'Secure Device' and log out of your Google Account. This action will secure your device.

More so, if you want to completely delete all the data, files and apps on the lost/stole device, use the last option.

How to erase phone data permanently from a stolen phone

Using the 'Erase Device; option will delete all the data permanently from this device. After your device has been erased, you can’t locate it.

If your device is offline, erasing will begin when it next comes online.

To erase your device, you may need to sign in to your Google Account again.

Integrity, Reputation & Respect: PNG Hunter Constricted And Subdued by a Moran but Lived

A Hunter on his hunting trip went straight into a trap. It wasn’t an ordinary trap. A large snake ‘the Moran’, hoping to catch Wild Pigs in their tracks, grabbed the Hunter.

The Hunter's reaction is something to contemplate. Any wild pig would have squealed, oinked and wrestled with the snake until it could fight no more. But the expert Hunter did the opposite. He didn’t make a noise or move one bit. He held his breath and played dead.

Moran’s strong muscles contracted to drain the life out of the hunter's body. With every tightened grip his bones seemed to have snapped. In fact, it was NOT his bones that broke but bow and arrows he was carrying.

Satisfied that the Hunter was constricted and subdued, the Moran relaxed its grip and jaw muscles before swallowing its catch. In that split second the Hunter had escaped. His experience didn't scare him. It made him stronger. You could guessed what happened...he trapped the monster snake and took it, alive, to the village for everyone to see.The Hunter's reputation in the village was intact. He is not only revered, but also respected

Cool, calm and collected: this story reminds me of the three Cs. If you are faced with a constricting situation, you can hold your nerve, analyse the treat, use what you have and live. Or you can fight it till you can not fight it anymore.

Fighting a losing battle is just stupid. Keep your integrity in any confrontation: keep your reputation, earn respect.

INSPIRED: Do not focus on things that only matter, but things that matter the MOST in life

(I came across this message somewhere on Facebook and thought I should re-post it. It is such a wonderful story.)

A teacher stood before his new class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, he picked up a very large and empty jar and proceeded to filling it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full and they agreed that it was.
Without waiting for the answer the teacher then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was, now, full - they agreed it was.
The teacher next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Off course the sand filled up every space. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous "yes."
The teacher then produced a can of beer from under the table and poured the entire content into the jar effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed..........

Now, said the teacher as the laughter subsided.
I want you to recognize that this JAR represents your LIFE. The GOLF balls are the important things like your FAMILY, your CHILDREN, your HEALTH, your FRIENDS, your favourite PASSIONS and if everything else was lost and only they remained, your LIFE would still be full.
The PEBBLES are the other things that matter like your JOB, your HOUSE and your CAR. The SAND is EVERYTHING else.... the SMALL STUFF,  both the positive and negative everyday stuff!
If you put the SAND into the JAR first, he continued, there is no room for the PEBBLES or the GOLF balls, the same goes for your LIFE.
If you spend all your time and energy on the SMALL STUFF you will never have room for the things that are important to you.
Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Spend time with your children, spend time with your parents, visit your grandparents, take your spouse out for dinner, make love and the list goes on. Like there will always be time to clean the house and mow the lawn.
Take care of the GOLF balls first the things that really matter, set your priorities right and the rest is just SAND.
One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the Beer represented. The teacher smiled and said, I’m glad you asked... "The Beer just shows you that no matter how full your life may seem, there’s always room for a Beer with a friend."
